The future of cancer research lies in viewing cancer as a complex adaptive system, says Dr. Anna Barker, Professor, Arizona State University. Developing molecular profiles of cancer in different patients, and changing the trajectory of such a complex adaptive system through patient-specific approaches will pave a promising path in cancer therapeutics.
